Description
Montse is the Founder and Managing Partner of IRIS Ventures, a leading European growth equity firm targeting investments in the intersection of innovation, lifestyle and technology, with presence in London & Barcelona.
IRIS Ventures looks for consumer-centric, purpose-driven brands and tech-enabled propositions that support healthier, happier and more convenient lives, empowering entrepreneurs and visionaries building brands that will transform and upgrade the way we consume, the way we live, with an innate understanding of the modern consumer.
With more than 20 years of global investment experience, Montse has established herself as a prominent European expert in digital lifestyle. She is one of the most plugged-in consumer investors in Europe.
Prior to launching IRIS Ventures, Montse co-founded Vaultier7, the UK's first female-led specialist investment fund with a wide portfolio of world class consumer brands including sneaker brand Axel Arigato (sold to Eurazeo Brands), baby nutrition brand Little Spoon (sold to Valor Equity Partners) and the leading secondhand luxury fashion marketplace Vestiaire Collective (1st French unicorn co-founded by women), amongst others.
Montse spent the first part of her career at Morgan Stanley, between London, Dubai and Madrid, advising on mergers and acquisitions and capital markets for Retail, Consumer, Tech and Luxury Goods companies including Kering, Prada Group, Richemont, Inditex, Burberry, Amadeus,…
Montse has also held senior positions and investment committee roles within Private Equity and Corporate Venture, and has worked across Europe, the US and the Middle East.
She is also an active business angel, mentor and start-up advisor to founders. She sits on a handful of boards including sports nutrition company Maurten, footwear brand Saysh, hair loss supplement business Olistic Science, high-end design marketplace Artemest, influencer-led haircare brand Gisou, cult-following skincare brand 111Skin, and more.
Montse holds a MSc in Business Administration from ESADE Business School and University of Michigan, Ann Arbour. She is fluent in English, French, Spanish and Catalan. Montse lives between London and Barcelona, has three children and is an avid sports enthusiast.
